Could you spend a night in this shelter? 🌲🏕️
Today at Wild Child Summer Camp, our campers put their outdoor skills to the test by building primitive shelters using natural materials they found around them. Working together, they learned how to choose a good location, create a sturdy framework, and make a shelter that could help protect them from the elements.
The adventure didn’t stop there! Campers also learned basic archery skills, practiced setting up tents on their own, and made paracord bracelets to take home.
It’s amazing to watch these young adventurers gain confidence, learn new skills, and connect with nature one day at a time! 🌿🏹☀️
Oh and we found a frog too! 🐸 ... See MoreSee Less

Wild Child Summer Camp is off to a fantastic start this summer! 🌿☀️
So far, campers have been learning about dangerous plants and animals, building important outdoor skills, and exploring the natural world around them. Today was especially exciting as we caught a record number of fish on Caddo Lake Drift In Bait & Tackle! 🎣
As a special bonus, we brought the fish back to Walter B. Jacobs Nature Center and used them as enrichment for our American Bald Eagle. Campers got a front-row seat as they watched her hunt, catch, and enjoy the fish a truly unforgettable wildlife experience! 🦅
We can’t wait to see what adventures the rest of the summer has in store! ... See MoreSee Less
