Yesterday’s Art in the Park event at Richard Fleming Park was a resounding success, delighting attendees with its diverse lineup of artists, live music, and interactive workshops.
Blessed with favorable weather, the day attracted art lovers of all ages who gathered to appreciate an impressive showcase of talent from local artists. Many of the artists, who praised the event as one of their favorites, displayed unique, nature-inspired pieces, with booths ranging from intricate pottery and handmade jewelry to vibrant paintings and whimsical sculptures. The event’s music brought a lively energy to the park, with bands creating an inviting atmosphere that perfectly complemented the natural surroundings. The community partners also stepped up, offering engaging activities that added depth to the day’s experience.
Workshops led by Naturalist Hulya O’Nel were particularly popular, with attendees eager to explore their creative sides under her guidance. From painting sessions to hands-on demonstrations, each activity offered something new for visitors to discover and enjoy. Feedback from both artists and attendees reflects a shared appreciation for this community celebration, which has become a cherished event in the Shreveport art scene. Art in the Park has once again proven to be a place where art and nature harmonize, fostering inspiration and connection among all who participate.
The event organizers extend their thanks to everyone who made the day unforgettable, and they look forward to continuing this tradition in the years to come. If you attended the event we would love to see any photos you may have taken.

What is the name of the band with the violinist? Really enjoyed their energy We really look forward to this event...great location to showcase talented artists in all of their genres

The NWLA Basket Makers proudly supporting this annual event since 2019.

Wonderful day with so many talented artists!

We found not only interesting art but tasty treats as well, also enjoyed the music!

Michael Futreal with Twang Darkly and Q Major were my favorite musical acts of the day. They always play music I enjoy. We always enjoy coming out to demonstrate pottery making for the guests and visitors at the event. Red Star Pottery has worked at every Art in the Park event since it's inception.
